About us
Where Flowers Bloom is an editorial project founded at the end of 2019. Fully non-profit and self-published, it aims to highlight the spread of interdisciplinary art which, despite geographical, linguistic, and resource-related limitations, is rich in talented young artists who often struggle to establish themselves within a shared and internationally recognized art scene.
We provide a constantly evolving print format, a “platform” for content dissemination that features refined graphic and editorial solutions, transforming the magazine itself into a designed visual object.
The magazine is published once a year, with each issue exploring a different theme. Distribution primarily relies on a dedicated online platform, and each copy is shipped by post. Since 2021, the magazine has also been available at Artphilein bookstore in Paradiso (Ticino). Print runs are limited (between 50 and 150 copies), a choice that helps keep the project sustainable and accessible to a younger audience.
Since 2022, with the release of its fourth issue, WFB has established a collaboration with the Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication (at SUPSI), a higher education institution specializing in visual communication and other disciplines. Through this partnership, each edition offers a selection of students the opportunity to be published alongside emerging artists, fostering a dialogue between education and contemporary practice.
The project is based on a self-sustaining model: all proceeds from sales are fully reinvested into the production of future issues. Where Flowers Bloom is the result of a passion-driven effort aimed at promoting emerging art without commercial intent.
The artistic and graphic direction is led by Artur Strupka and Roberto Schneeberger, co-founders of Studio 5115, a communication and graphic design agency based in Locarno. Since 2023, Obi Fidler has contributed as an external collaborator focusing on 3D and motion design. In 2025, Carolina Sanchez joined the team, focusing on scouting Ticino-based artists, conducting interviews, and contributing to the curatorial section.

Vision
The continuous evolution of the magazine is essential to remain current and innovative. For this reason, we actively embrace change, with the goal of constantly developing more engaging and relevant content over time. Without ever losing sight of our primary mission, supporting and promoting artists, we aim to position the magazine as a platform capable of fostering cultural exchange and creating connections between artists and a broader audience interested in engaging with contemporary practices at both a national and international level.
